Bart Sturm

Bart Sturm is a PhD candidate in the Computational Pathology group of the Department of Pathology of the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen. He studied Medicine at VU Medical Center for which he obtained his MD in 2008. After his graduation he became a pathology resident at Radboud University Medical Center where he started his scientific work on the validation of digital imaging in pathology under the supervision of Jeroen van der Laak. In 2013 Bart finished his residency and became a board certified pathologist at ZorgSaam and Admiraal de Ruyter hospital. Meanwhile he continued his research in digital pathology and became an external PhD candidate in 2022 finishing his scientific work on applying deep learning in breast pathology.
