Micael Karlberg
Micael Karlberg received his BSc and MSc degrees in Chemical Biology Engineering from Linköping University, Sweden. He later completed his PhD at Newcastle University, UK, where he was a part of a larger Marie Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) project focusing on rapid development of therapeutic drugs in Biopharma. His thesis work focused on applied machine learning in the field of Biopharma to predict manufacturing feasibility of new drug candidates in early bioprocess development. He joined the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group (DIAG) of the Radboud University Medical Center as a researcher in May 2021 and he worked on tumor detection in whole-slide images using deep learning in affiliation with the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV) at Linköping University. He was supervised by Jeroen van der Laak.
