KNAW Early Career Award for Geert Litjens

Together with twelve other young talented scientist, Geert Litjens got awarded the Early Career Award from the Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen (KNAW). The award is intended as an encouragement and financial support for PhD graduates with innovative ideas to spent on their own research careers. Geert Litjens received the award for his outstanding work on the development and application of artifical neural networks for cancer detection, segmentation and grading in histopathologic slides.

The Awards will be presented during a celebratory gathering of the Academy in the first quarter of 2020.
